SMARTEX

SMARTEX is a specialized event designed to support textile, apparel, and home textile manufacturers in enhancing their global competitiveness. The event is supported by the GTEX MENATEX programme of the International Trade Centre (ITC) in Egypt funded by the governments of Sweden, Switzerland and Spain, as well as the CBI Textiles Project funded by the Government of the Netherlands, in cooperation with the Apparel, Home Textiles, and Textile Export Councils.

Over the past five years of working in Egypt, these programmes have identified a strong need among local manufacturers for digitalization solutions and improved access to finance and green finance. In response to these challenges, SMARTEX event was established.
