Horeca was founded in Lebanon by Hotels Hospitality Services in 1994, a blend of the words HO (hotels), RE (restaurants), and CA (cafés), and then its branches spread to Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Kuwait.
Leaders Group acquired the franchise of Horeca, and as a result, it was launched in Kuwait in 2012. It is currently in its seventh edition, being the largest hospitality event in Kuwait, featuring participation from a number of the biggest players in the hospitality sector in the country and the region.
Horeca is primarily a hospitality event, where many companies directly or indirectly related to hospitality participate and attend this three-day event. Some of the largest companies either sponsor or showcase their products at this event.
During this event, a culinary arts exhibition is held, where chefs from the country participate in various exciting competitions to display their remarkable skills. The competitions are judged by international judges from Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, and elsewhere.
