This conference is the highlight of our triennial agenda, as it will be held this year for the first time in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
Hosted by the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, this event carries the theme "The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Societies," and we will explore this comprehensive topic through three main sub-themes: Intangible Heritage, the Power of Youth, and Modern Technologies.
Each ICOM General Conference is distinguished by its unique character, being the fruit of years of close collaboration with our local partners. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the UAE National Committee for ICOM, the ICOM 2025 Conference Organizing Committee, and the Professional Conference Organizers (PCO) for their valuable contributions to this event, which I am confident will be successful and enjoyable for all.
