The Holding Company for Construction and Development (an Egyptian joint-stock holding company) subject to Law 203 of 1991 is one of the largest companies operating in the field of construction and building in Egypt. The national company has exercised its responsibilities since 1960 under names specified by the legal systems governing its framework and operations, culminating in its classification among the companies of the Ministry of Public Business Sector under the new economic system, which relies on market mechanisms and the requirements of managerial freedom, quality assurance, performance improvement, and competitiveness.
