Meem digital banking, affiliated with Gulf International Bank, is owned by the governments of the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries, with the majority of its shares belonging to the Public Investment Fund in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which holds a 97.2% stake in Saudi Arabia. Gulf International Bank is owned 50% by Gulf International Bank Group and 50% by the Public Investment Fund and was among the first banks to obtain a local license, making it a 100% Saudi bank.
