Al Rajhi Bank

Al Rajhi Bank was established in 1957 and is one of the largest Islamic banks in the world with total assets of 384 billion Saudi Riyals (102 billion US dollars), paid-up capital of 25 billion Saudi Riyals (6.66 billion US dollars), and a workforce of over 9,600 employees. With more than 58 years of experience in banking and commercial activities, the diverse individual institutions were consolidated under the name Al Rajhi under the umbrella of "Al Rajhi Trading and Exchange Company" in 1978, and in 1988, the bank was established as a Saudi holding company. The Sharia-compliant banking group is deeply rooted in the principles of Islamic banking and plays an active role in bridging the gap between modern financial requirements and core values, while leading and developing many industry standards.
Headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Al Rajhi Bank boasts a wide network of over 570 branches, more than 152 branches dedicated to women, over 5,190 ATMs and 106,000 point-of-sale terminals with merchants, and the largest customer base of any bank in the Kingdom, in addition to 232 money transfer centers throughout the country. The first men's branch was opened in Al Dira in 1957, and the first women's branch was opened in Al Shumaisi in 1979.
