The company was established in February 2004 under the name Warba Health Insurance Company, specializing in providing health insurance services. In March 2007, it began conducting insurance operations based on cooperative principles compliant with Islamic Sharia, and in June of the same year, expanded its insurance services to include all types of cooperative group, health, fire and general accidents, vehicles, boats, and cargo transport (marine, air, and land).

"Ritaj Takaful Insurance Company" is the name that was announced in July 2008. It is a Kuwaiti closed joint stock company operating with a capital of KWD 10,000,000, continuing the journey it started in 2004 of dedication and excellence in work, offering the best in the Kuwaiti Takaful insurance market.

This expansion and success culminated in 2019 with the adoption of a new company name (International Takaful Insurance), through which it opened bridges of cooperation with our clients on the insurance level and new horizons based on long-standing insurance and financial expertise in the Kuwaiti market. This is considered a significant leap and an indicator of the company's commitment to elevating performance levels and the speed and accuracy of work execution, ensuring customer comfort, satisfaction, and trust.
