Dubai Insurance Company (DIN) was founded by His Highness Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum as the first local company in the United Arab Emirates.

Since then, Dubai Insurance Company has consistently provided excellent service to its clients. The major transformation occurred when the new, flexible, and proactive board of directors was elected in early 2006. The new board of Dubai Insurance Company, along with the new management team, tripled its revenues, profitability, and customer offerings while maintaining the same unique values that the founders were keen to establish.

Revenues increased from 24 million UAE dirhams in 2006 to 1.5 billion UAE dirhams in 2022 without compromising profitability. Under its composite license for property and life insurance, Dubai Insurance offers a diverse portfolio of products, including property, liability, marine insurance, group life insurance, health insurance, and many other specialized lines, including credit and guarantee.

In recognition of its performance and future prospects, A.M. Best awarded it a financial strength rating of "A (Excellent)," and Fitch Ratings granted it a financial rating of "A."
