The Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) is one of the largest industrial companies in Libya, specializing in the production of high-quality iron and steel products. Founded in 1979 and starting production in 1989, it is located on a 1,200-hectare site in the city of Misrata. The design capacity is 1,700,000 tons of liquid steel annually using direct reduction technology.
