Amman Stock Exchange

The Amman Stock Exchange was established on March 11, 1999, as an independent, non-profit institution authorized to operate as a regulated market for trading securities in the Kingdom.

On February 20, 2017, the Amman Stock Exchange was registered as a public shareholding company fully owned by the government, and the Amman Stock Exchange Company is considered the legal and de facto successor to the Amman Stock Exchange. The Amman Stock Exchange Company is managed by a board of directors consisting of seven members appointed by the General Assembly and a full-time executive director who oversees and manages the daily operations of the exchange.

According to the Articles of Association of the Amman Stock Exchange Company, its main tasks include conducting, operating, managing, and developing all securities, commodities, and derivatives markets within and outside the Kingdom, providing the appropriate environment to ensure the interaction of supply and demand forces on traded securities based on sound, clear, and fair trading principles, and promoting investment culture in financial markets while enhancing knowledge related to financial markets and the services provided by the exchange.

The exchange has prepared its strategic plan for the years 2024-2026, which aligns with its vision of providing an advanced and distinguished financial market, both legislatively and technically, at the regional and global levels, in line with international standards in financial markets, and contributing to creating an attractive investment environment. By reviewing the exchange's objectives and previous strategic plans and analyzing the internal and external environment, the strategic plan includes a set of goals that will enhance the economic benefits provided by the exchange and enable it to offer better services.
