DAR MEC Engineering Consultancy was established in 1995 by its owner and CEO, Engineer Sayed Hashim Al-Mousawi. DAR MEC currently owns several active engineering consultancy offices in the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and Qatar (collectively referred to as the DAR MEC Group), expanding and exporting its services to include the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, North Africa, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Southern Europe. Over the past ten years, the DAR MEC Group's policy of collaborating with other consultancy firms, whether as partners or in joint ventures, has resulted in the completion of a variety of projects in 15 countries.

The DAR MEC Group offers a comprehensive range of services, from urban design and infrastructure, through architectural and interior design, to project management and construction supervision.
