Al Majed Group was launched in 1943.

Mr. Ali Al Majed, who was then a young and ambitious pearl merchant, possessing a courageous entrepreneurial spirit, became one of the most prominent pearl traders in the Gulf.
His son Mahdi followed in his father's footsteps and set sail on his own to trade in the most attractive pearls. When oil was discovered in the 1940s and a new era of prosperity began in Qatar, Mahdi founded "Al Majed Jewelry," which expanded to include jewelry from the best designers in Europe, becoming the focal point for all jewelry seekers in Qatar.

Today, the family business is proudly and diligently headed by Mahdi's three sons, Ahmed, Mohammed, and Jameel. They have enhanced the company's image and services, and diversified the products and services by expanding the Al Majed Group through the addition of 11 departments.
