Al-ahly Exchange

Al Ahly Exchange Company's website, one of the companies of the National Bank of Egypt, gave birth to this giant entity due to its affiliation with a large and established banking entity, the National Bank of Egypt. The company was established in 2017, coinciding with the decisions to liberalize the exchange rate, to contribute to the stability of currency exchange rates in the banking market with an authorized capital of 200 million Egyptian pounds, fully issued. Approval was also granted to increase the authorized capital to 400 million Egyptian pounds at the beginning of 2020. Within five years, the company managed to open 63 branches in 23 governorates, aiming to cover all parts of the Republic to provide broader services to its clients and plans to open 20 new branches during the current year 2022. The company's continued leadership in the exchange activity over these five years, in terms of transaction volume, is a result of its spread across all governorates of the Republic, along with the increase in the company's capital and the continuous support from the National Bank. The company plays a significant role in meeting part of the currency needs of individuals and companies, as it is one of the companies of the National Bank of Egypt, Bank of Egypt. Through its professional management and the efforts of its employees, who reached 500 by the end of 2022, all possessing the highest levels of efficiency, professionalism, and training, the company was able to provide currency exchange services by implementing the best system for the role of exchange companies in Egypt. This contributed to its leading position among Egyptian exchange companies and gaining the trust of citizens, in addition to facilitating access to clients in various governorates shortly after its establishment, confirming its adoption of a well-planned and effective expansion strategy. The company has contributed to the system of increasing the use of plastic cards as a means of obtaining funds by deploying the National Bank of Egypt's ATMs in its branches. The Chairman of the Board of the National Bank had previously stated in one of his press interviews that Al Ahly Exchange Company is one of the financial service arms that the National Bank provides and expands.
