The Specialized Communications Foundation "Nedaa" was established by the Royal Decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on June 4, 2008. "Nedaa" is considered the sole and exclusive provider of approved secure communication networks in the Emirate of Dubai, and its workforce includes a group of specialized technical experts with high competencies in the field of specialized communications.
Nedaa Foundation has proven its leadership in providing secure and integrated specialized wireless communication services that comply with the highest international technical standards and specifications for security and safety, in addition to implementing the best administrative and operational practices to meet the needs, requirements, and aspirations of the government as well as the continuously growing telecommunications market. Nedaa Foundation heavily focuses on the concept of public safety and providing services that align with the strategic plan of the Dubai government, particularly in its efforts to develop general plans and potential scenarios for facing crises and disasters. "Nedaa" works on linking and unifying wireless communication operations among government entities or institutions concerned with security and safety during emergencies.
Nedaa Foundation has strengthened its position as the first institution in the Middle East to use the digital wireless communication system "TETRA" in its diverse services, which include mobile stations that provide temporary coverage for important events and activities in the emirate, and supplying stations for indoor coverage of some important facilities in the emirate, ensuring fast, guaranteed, and reliable service in data and information exchange.
To enhance the communication requirements of its clients, "Nedaa" established a network operations center that operates around the clock to help ensure smooth operation of daily institutional processes and address any issues related to communication continuity.
