About the company
Al Mawridi Jewelry is a private family company managed by the three Mawridi siblings.
Al Mawridi's journey began in 1980 in a small workshop in Khan El Khalili, at the heart of all that is artistic in Cairo. The workshop started by crafting custom perfumes for tourists visiting from all over the world and a variety of antique artifacts, later expanding into the jewelry trade.
After graduating from university, the two brothers inherited the workshop in Khan El Khalili with 6 kilograms of gold and silver, left to manage the business as they saw fit on their own.
At the beginning of their journey, the Mawridi brothers traveled to Italy to learn more about jewelry and all its components. They initially worked as retailers, buying Italian designs and selling them in Egypt. Subsequently, after learning everything they needed to know about jewelry, they opened their first factory in the 1990s, where they manufactured their own designs.
