Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services

Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services was established in 1979 under Emiri Decree No. 6 of 1981 as a non-governmental organization providing services to persons with disabilities in the United Arab Emirates. On October 10, 1995, Emiri Decree No. 4 of 1995 was issued regarding the status of the City.

The City continued its work as a voluntary non-governmental organization, offering education, training, and rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities in the country until His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, issued Emiri Decree No. 4 of 1995 on October 10, 1995, concerning the status of the City. This transformed it into an independent non-governmental organization for empowering persons with disabilities, possessing legal personality and full capacity to undertake the necessary legal actions to achieve its objectives, and having financial and administrative independence.
