The General Directorate of Sharjah Civil Defense operates within its designated competencies and the objectives that the Ministry of Interior and Civil Defense aim to achieve, to establish an institutional system that aligns with the requirements of the massive development witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah in all fields, thereby contributing to the realization of the desired goals.
By developing the work system across all departments, sections, and centers with their staff, officers, subordinate officials, individuals, and components represented in equipment and machinery to reach the highest levels of performance efficiency. The General Directorate of Sharjah Civil Defense intensifies its efforts to achieve prevention and safety from the risks of fire outbreaks by spreading awareness of prevention culture among citizens and residents through organizing campaigns and launching initiatives and projects related to awareness and education.
One of the main functions of the Directorate is to supply print, audio, and visual media with news related to the activities of Sharjah Civil Defense, including functions and achievements, alongside raising awareness through social media to convey a positive media message aimed at enhancing feelings of reassurance and security among citizens and residents. Simultaneously, it works to shape positive attitudes towards adhering to the principles of prevention and safety in all locations.
