Wesgreen International School - Sharjah

Wesgreen International School was established in Sharjah in 1991 and has since grown to become one of the most successful schools in the region. The school has been committed to developing academic excellence for over two decades and is accredited by the International Schools Council.

The school is divided into four independent sections. The Early Years section includes students from FS1, FS2, and Year 1, while the Primary School section covers grades from Y2 to Y6. Grades from Y7 to Y13 are distributed between the Boys' and Girls' Secondary Schools. Students transition at the end of Y5 to either the Boys' or Girls' Secondary School, which serve students from Y7 to Y13. The school's administration is located in the Boys' Secondary School section.

We work hand in hand with the parent community to nurture students equipped with all the necessary skills to become successful global citizens. Our curriculum offers opportunities for our students to develop into thoughtful, knowledgeable, and caring citizens who can, in turn, create a better and more peaceful world.

From their enrollment in FS1 and transition to FS2, our students benefit from an international curriculum that includes a range of foundational programs for early years, the British National Curriculum, and the fundamentals of the Cambridge Primary Programme. The curriculum for grades Y2 to Y6 follows the Cambridge Primary Programme, which prepares students for a smooth transition to the Cambridge Lower Secondary stage (grades Y7 to Y9). From Y10 to Y13, our students follow the CIE curriculum for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level, and Advanced (A) Level examinations from the University of Cambridge.

The Cambridge International A Level is the world's most common international examination for students aged 16 to 18. Recognized as one of the most widely accepted qualifications globally, it is acknowledged as proof of academic ability for university admission worldwide. At Wesgreen, students are admitted for the AS Level in Grade 12. A variety of courses are offered, including Art and Design, Applied ICT, Mathematics, English Language and Literature, the three Sciences, three Business subjects, and four Humanities subjects, allowing students to pursue their desired areas of knowledge.
